The Above & Beyond Award recognizes an outstanding Peoria-area business that consistently goes beyond what is expected to make Greater Peoria a stronger place to live, work, and visit.
This award celebrates a for-profit corporation or LLC that demonstrates a meaningful commitment to our region through community involvement, economic investment, workforce development, leadership, and initiatives that contribute to the overall quality of life in Peoria, Tazewell, and Woodford counties.
Nominees should be businesses that are not only successful in their own work but are also making a positive difference beyond their organization. This may include supporting local nonprofits and community initiatives, creating or retaining jobs, developing employees and future talent, supporting other local businesses, investing in neighborhoods, contributing to arts, culture, tourism, or community vibrancy, and demonstrating responsible business practices.
When completing your nomination, please provide specific examples of how the business has gone “above and beyond.” Whenever possible, include measurable results, partnerships, programs, accomplishments, or stories that demonstrate the organization's impact. Nominations should primarily highlight work completed within the past 24–36 months, although longer-term accomplishments may also be included when relevant.
Eligible nominees must be for-profit corporations or LLCs with significant operations in Peoria, Tazewell, or Woodford County. Nonprofit organizations and public agencies are not eligible for this award. Nominations may be submitted by community members, employees, business partners, or the business itself.
Supporting materials such as photos, impact data, testimonials, news coverage, or letters from community partners may also be submitted to strengthen the nomination.
Nomination Deadline: Friday, October 16, 2026
The recipient of the 2026 Above & Beyond Award will be recognized during the Peoria Area Chamber of Commerce Thanksgiving Luncheon on Thursday, November 19, 2026, at the Peoria Civic Center.
