SUMMARY:An American Family Christmas
DESCRIPTION:The Peoria Area Civic Chorale will present their annual "An American Family Christmas" with performances on December 18 & 19 at 7:30 PM and December 20 at 2:30 PM at the Five Points Washington Performing Arts Center. This year's program has the theme of "While Shepherds Watched." Audiences of all ages will be treated to a heartwarming program of holiday music. The concert will feature modern arrangements of favorite carols like "The First Noel\," "Do You Hear What I Hear?\," "While Shepherds Watched Their Flocks\," and "Joy to the World" alongside seasonal favorites like "Welcome Christmas\," "You're a Mean One\, Mr. Grinch" and "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas." Special guests will include the Peoria Area Civic Chorale Youth Chorus and a teen Young Artist Competition winner at each performance\, a junior high festival chorus on Friday\, Washington Community High School on Saturday and Metamora High School on Sunday. There will also be special appearances by the Grinch\, Santa and Mrs. Claus.Friday's and Saturday's concerts will be followed by a cake reception sponsored by Trefzger's Baker.Tickets are $25 for adults and $10 for students\, with group rates available. Children 12 and under are admitted free of charge after calling the PACC office or purchasing tickets at the door. Tickets can also be purchased online at peoriacivicchorale.org.
