Pub Club Rocks featuring The Boat Drunks in Downtown Bloomington Square

Description

One of Bloomington's favorite summer traditions is back. Now in its second year, Pub Club Rotary invites the community to Pub Club Rocks on Saturday, August 8—a free outdoor concert in Downtown Bloomington featuring nationally recognized trop-rock band The Boat Drunks. Guests are encouraged to bring a lawn chair and enjoy an evening of live music, local food trucks Pizza Payaa and La Patrona, cold drinks by Lakeshore Beverage, and community celebration while supporting a meaningful cause.

The Boat Drunks have entertained audiences for more than 25 years with an energetic mix of original music and crowd favorites, creating the perfect soundtrack for a summer evening.

Pub Club Rocks is more than a concert. A portion of the proceeds from the event will benefit Brightpoint Crisis Nursery, which provides free, 24-hour emergency childcare, crisis intervention, and family support services that help children remain safe while parents navigate unexpected challenges. The event is hosted by the Pub Club Rotary Foundation, whose mission is to strengthen the Bloomington-Normal community through service, leadership, and philanthropy.

General admission is free, and everyone is invited to join us for an unforgettable evening of live music, community, and giving back.

VIP Tickets and Sponsorship Opportunities are still available.

"One of the things I love most about Pub Club Rocks is seeing our community come together for one incredible summer evening. People come for the music and the fun, but they leave knowing they helped make a difference for local children and families. That's what Rotary is all about, and we're excited to welcome everyone back for our second year."

— Christine Street, Event Chair, Pub Club Rocks

"Pub Club Rocks is a wonderful example of what Rotary is all about—bringing people together to strengthen our community. Every person who attends, volunteers, or sponsors this event helps create opportunities for local organizations like Brightpoint Crisis Nursery to continue their important work. We're proud to host this event for a second year and grateful for the incredible support of our community, sponsors, and volunteers who make it possible."

— Jen Bras, President, Pub Club Rotary
